Did you meet Devyn and Chacal in Play The Hand You Were Dealt ? This couple is like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde,a little homicidal, irrationally connected, and cryptically in love. I originally wrote this scene for St. Patrick's Day. It 's fun and dirty and I hope y'all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Two years ago I got this idea about a crime organization based in Las Vegas. I didn't want a traditional mafia type organization. I wanted something steeped in familial blood and obligation, and the characters of Play The Hand You Were Dealt were born. Devyn and Chacal kicked off what I hope will be a kick ass series!

Alright I think I finally got the format right! I’ve deleted and uploaded this doc like twenty time (no joke!) Whew...but I got it now!

I struggled when making the decision to delete the cheating scenes from Exquisitely Broken. Cheating in romance is one of those sore spots that are difficult to navigate.

Personally I like messy characters that are imperfect, that struggle, that are wholly human, mistakes and all. This deleted chapter is from Jake's POV and I'll warn you now, it's rough. He is unhappy and struggling and making very bad decisions for all the wrong reasons.

If you want to know why or how he made certain choices, here is your answer.

This was a hard one. Sin's emotion was raw and so very real. I cried while writing this scene.

Sin is on the cusp of greatness. Her career is taking off, her dreams are coming to fruition but her relationship is failing miserably. This chapter marks the precise point in which she became broken.
